Jeanne Plowden Hall was born in Sumter, SC and
is married to Mark W. Hall, who is a certified wildlife biologist and registered forester. They have two children,
a 13 year-old daughter, Hunter, and a 10 year-old son, Colter. She comes from a family of professional
engineers, physicians and about every other learned profession except law, so she brings to her practice a focus on strategic
and entrepreneurial tools gleaned from these other professions. She believes that common sense and practical analysis should
prevail, because the law does not address all of the needs and problems of her clients effectively. She considers her extensive
background in business, problem-solving and risk management as important, if not more important, than her legal education
and experience. Committing to practicing law that is effective
in the 21st century, she studies and assesses the more challenging needs of our current times, as well as the change in the
laws, on almost a daily basis. Her personal commitment is to practice law in a way that maximizes opportunities
in communication and is truly helpful for many client needs, not just the limited options of the courts and certain laws.
Her personal goal is to be known as one of the leaders in the new movement of collaborative law (ask your attorney if
they know what this is-they should) and other alternatives to the system that has given traditional law and lawyers not
such a great reputation in the general public, and therefore the butt of many jokes! Jeanne combines these personal and professional goals with her own spiritual and family commitments, and founded
the Plowden Hall Law Firm, PLLC, to create an environment that allows her to be balanced and successful in these goals.
She has also surrounded herself with a staff who shares these values and supports this commitment to our clients, who
also gain from this type of practice and our shared values. Believing that "what goes around comes around," we
intend only to make good things go around and come around! There
are attorneys who take unfair advantage or make improper use of anything and everything, such as the illness of a party
or her attorney, the "good old boy system," the lack of sophistication or intellect of a party, or of some other
improper leverage. We believe that it all eventually does come back to those who do this, and at Plowden Hall we refuse to
misuse any such unfair, unprofessional, improper, and (we believe) immoral tactics. We believe in using the law
and our other resources in the most positive and appropriate way, which we know is the best way to truly serve and help our
clients! The law is not a "game" to be played, but a moral obligation and privilege to practice. We
are advocates for our clients, but being a very strong advocate does not mean sacrificing the basic tenants and purposes
of the law and our system of justice just to gain an unfair advantage or outcomes.

"I've
come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed
is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing
the energy of the universe to lead you." Oprah Winfrey
